Submission Guidelines for Center for Effective Global Action

How to Submit

  1. Make sure your paper is in an acceptable format: Microsoft Word, Rich Text Format (RTF), or Adobe Acrobat (PDF). If you use Microsoft Word to convert to PDF, the preferred method is to use File--> Print, then change the printer to Acrobat Distiller. If you use a text-processing program other than Microsoft Word, look for an "Export" or "Save As" option in your program and save it as an "RTF" file. If necessary, we can convert your files into an acceptable format.
  2. E-mail your paper as an attachment to thomaschupein@berkeley.edu. In the e-mail message, include a title, a 200-word abstract, 3 keywords, JEL classification codes if applicable, and the authors' names, e-mail addresses, and affiliations (i.e. department and university). You must state in your email that you agree to the Author Agreement. The work can only be published if you agree to the terms of the Agreement.
  3. If you have any questions, contact us at thomaschupein@berkeley.edu.

Publication Process

Before submitting a paper to the repository, please be sure that all necessary author permissions have been cleared. Once you submit your paper, we will post a PDF version online. At this stage, we are unable to make any changes beyond the truly necessary. You will receive an e-mail notification when the paper is published, accompanied by a copy of our author agreement. We ask that you consent to the agreement by email. This will grant the CDL Repository non-exclusive rights to post the paper and keep a citation of it in perpetuity.

How to Revise or Remove

A paper may be updated or removed from public view by sending a request to the system administrator at thomaschupein@berkeley.edu. However, a citation to the original version of the paper will always remain on the site, even if the paper itself is removed.
