Aim and Scope
OBJECTIVE
Global Societies Journal is an interdisciplinary publication which sketches and interprets novel trends and patterns and promotes critical analysis of the economic, political, social, and cultural forces that are shaping our contemporary world.
It seeks to open up new conversations that speak to 21st-century global processes, globalization and global-scale issues.
In contrast with other journals, the journal encourages diverse theoretical and innovative methodological approaches that bridge various disciplines to explore themes and issues related to how the world operates as a set of interactive and interconnected processes.
We publish work by students and scholars across the fields of social sciences and humanities including those trained in political science, economics, sociology, anthropology, geography, history, cultural studies, media studies, Chicana/o studies, area and ethnic studies, environmental studies and feminist studies, though submissions are not specifically limited to these areas as long as the submission pertains to the journal goals.
Global Societies seeks to publish scholarship attracting wide readership.
