Aim and Scope

Voices, a broad-based journal, aims to explore innovative, ground-breaking research in the field of Hispanic linguistics through a variety of methods and perspectives. While research on Spanish and Portuguese in the United States is of primary interest to the Voices, the journal is concerned with any research within the scope of Hispanic linguistics.

The breadth of research areas of this journal include (but are not limited to):

Anthropological Linguistics
Corpus Linguistics
Historical Linguistics and Philology
Lexicology
Morphology
Phonology and Phonetics
Psychosocial Linguistics
Rhetoric and Pragmatics

Dialects of Spanish in Los Angeles and/or the United States
